How it works: Parses, validates, formats, and restructures JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data structures in real time. Offers five distinct transformation modes: 2-space indented pretty-print, 4-space indented pretty-print, high-compression single-line minification, hierarchical dot-notation path flattening (e.g. user.profile.name = 'Alex'), and tabular RFC 4180 CSV generation for array datasets. Features intelligent syntax diagnostics that calculate structural nesting depth, total key count, and array counts, while pinpointing exact line and column coordinates whenever syntax errors occur. Includes an optional non-destructive auto-repair engine that can resolve single-quoted strings, unquoted object keys, and trailing commas commonly introduced when copying configuration snippets from Python dictionaries or JavaScript codebases.
Why it matters: Raw API responses, webhook payloads, and cloud configuration files (AWS IAM policies, Kubernetes manifests, package manifests) are frequently returned as compact, unreadable strings or littered with invalid syntax that halts CI/CD build pipelines. Debugging deeply nested data structures visually in raw text is tedious and prone to oversight. Furthermore, analysts frequently need to export nested JSON records into relational databases, Google Sheets, or Excel. By transforming arbitrary JSON hierarchies into flattened dot-paths or structured CSV spreadsheets with standard header columns, PasteXray bridges the gap between modern API payloads and traditional spreadsheet analytics. All transformations run completely client-side in memory, ensuring proprietary API tokens, user emails, and database records remain confidential.
Security Architecture: Input JSON is parsed and transformed locally in your browser memory and never uploaded.
